Brenden Behling
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon with a particular interest in the intersection of psychology, family relationships, and the legal system. My work includes both traditional therapy and court-involved services, with a focus on helping individuals and families navigate conflict, relationship challenges, separation and divorce, and complex family dynamics.
I approach my work collaboratively, drawing from evidence-based practices while recognizing that every individual and family brings a different history, set of relationships, and goals to the process. Whether I am working with an individual, couple, co-parenting relationship, or family, I work to understand the larger dynamics affecting the situation and identify practical, meaningful ways forward.
My experience with high-conflict family systems, substance abuse, domestic violence, and parenting risk assessment also informs my work in custody evaluations, Parenting Coordination, parent-child reunification, and other court-involved matters.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
I earned my Master's Degree in Counseling from Multnomah University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon (C5928).
Throughout my clinical work, I have developed a particular focus on domestic relations and the intersection of psychological, relational, and legal concerns. My experience includes Parenting Coordination, bilateral child custody evaluations, parent-child reunification, co-parenting support, consultation, and individual, couples, child, and family therapy.
I bring a family systems perspective to this work, with particular experience in high-conflict separation and divorce, substance abuse, domestic violence, and parenting risk assessment. Across both clinical and court-involved roles, I strive to remain thoughtful, balanced, and focused on understanding the individual and relational factors contributing to the challenges a family is facing.
